ThermaDoor’s Budget range garage door insulation kits are designed for homeowners who want improved comfort without breaking the bank. Lightweight, easy to handle and effective, this range offers a smart solution for reducing some heat, cold and noise transfer through your garage door.
While our Premium range provides maximum thermal performance and engineered durability, the Budget range is ideal for those seeking low-cost garage insulation that still delivers results.
IMPORTANT NOTE

However, they have been used in construction for many years in walls, floors and ceilings and will help to reduce heat, cold and outside noise.
No problems! All of our distributors are industry pros who know exactly what they’re doing – we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Every install professionally completed includes the important air gap (not glued), and a spring adjustment to accommodate for the minimal additional weight.
For DIY we always recommend that you call an experienced garage door technician to adjust the springs for you once the job is done.
For a standard 16 panel door prices start from $330 for our Budget range and $640 for our Premium range including GST

Yes. Tasmania’s weather is unpredictable from frosty mornings and Southern Ocean showers to sudden summer warmth. An uninsulated garage door becomes a major source of heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. Insulating your garage door helps maintain stable temperatures inside your home, reduces energy use, and protects any rooms or living areas connected to the garage.
ThermaDoor Premium is purpose built to handle Victoria’s extremes. Whether you’re in Melbourne, Geelong, Mildura or the highlands, ThermaDoor keeps your garage comfortable all year.
For Victoria’s mixed climate, an R-value of around R1.4 – R1.5 is ideal for garage doors. This provides effective thermal resistance without adding excess weight to your door.
ThermaDoor Premium delivers an independently calculated R.148 (winter) and R1.43 (summer), giving you powerful insulation that meets energy efficiency goals and helps home achieve 7-star NatHERS ratings under NCC 2022.
If you hear high R-values being stated for garage door insulation, be sure to ask for the independent reports specific to garage doors to back up the claims. If the data can’t be provided – it’s not a verified R-value in the garage door.
